I love to be outdoors, I love the fresh air, the light, the water and the energy this brings. Therefore most of my family shoots are shot outdoors at golden hour (the hour before sunset or after sunrise).

Newborn shoots are a little more intimate and are usually done at your home. Those first few months of a life with a newborn can be challenging, intense and some of the best moments you will ever experience. Hibernate at home and let me come to you to capture this special time for you and your family.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

Depending on the package that you choose, you will receive anywhere from 10 to 50+ digital images.

How should we dress for our family session?

I will send you a comprehensive What to Wear guide and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. The most important thing is to be comfortable and true to who you are. Remember this is your story and your memories.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

I normally aim to do newborn sessions around 10am. This gives you all some time in the morning to get ready and suitably caffeinated! However if this doesn't work with your schedule then just let me know and we can arrange a time that works for you.

What time of day are outdoor photoshoots?

Outdoor sessions are normally held at golden hour (the hour before sunset, or after sunrise if you are an early riser!). It is the most flattering time of day and will give your photos that lovely golden glow that will make them truly special.

how long are the sessions?

For family and maternity sessions i normally ask to allow for 1 hour, however i will try to get most of the shots done within the first 30 minutes as this can be quite long for little ones, especially at golden hour if it is past their bedtime!
Newborn sessions i would allow 2 hours for. This gives us time for nappy/outfit changes and a feed or two in between. Anything to keep baby happy and content whilst we capture their cuteness.

What happens if we have to cancel?

As a Mum i totally understand that kids get sick. If this is the case then it would be better to reschedule than having a poorly, sad child in the photos. Please try to give me as much notice as possible and we can book your session in for another day.
If i get sick then i will give you as much notice as possible to cancel and reschedule the shoot.

What if my kids don't behave on the day!?

Please don't worry about this. My shoots are all about having fun, kids don't have to sit still and smile for the camera. Instead let them run, play and do what makes them happy. Feel free to bring along a favourite toy (if you don't mind it being in the photos!), or some (mess free) bribes such as sultanas. Try to stay relaxed if they start to misbehave and try some tickling or cuddles to get those smiles back!
